CrystalMorphic 5E Cylindrical lens A WORLD FIRST 21st CENTURY Design and a step up in complexity from even the mighty ISCO3, which is a "traditional" 4-element, 2-group design (like all the other Home Cinema cylindricals).
This lens has been years in the making. Our desire to improve on what was already in the market place meant various challenges had to be met. Working with Australia’s finest anamorphic optical engineer and renowned lens guru - Tony Dummett, we have succeeded in producing what we believe to be the finest Anamorphic lens ever built for Home Cinema, period!
Without stringing this out with long and over detailed specs, we will just say the following: The more complex an anamorphic lens is and the more aberations corrected, the better the image will be. The end result is in the image this lens produces - A high contrast, high brightness, razor sharp, single pixel clarity image that will leave you speechless. This lens also works down to throw ratio's of 1.45, however 1.8 or greater are recommended.
Did we mention it comes with a fully adjustable - x, y and z axes - stand, ready for the all new Sildamorphic motorized sled? RRP OF $7,599 AU

Here is a screen shot from the Field Testing. One of my favourite screen shots that shows edge to edge focus, from the movie Shooter. Please note, this image was taken using a JVC HD550 which had convergence problems. The lens was also in it's prototype form!
Anamorphic Expansion Ratio:1.33x nominal (varies +1.0%/-0.5% with throw ratio and focus distance)
Recommended Throw Range: 2.5 metres – Infinity (8.2’ – Infinity)
Effective lens Dimensions:
Rear lens: 78mm
Mid Lens: 116mm
Exit lens: 132mm
Optical Length (vertex to vertex): 131mm (5.2”)
Mechanical Length: 150mm, including focus winder (5.9”)
Maximum Width: 150mm at exit lens (5.9”)
Optical Architecture: 5 elements (2 doublets, one singlet), 2 groups (two end lenses fixed, one moveable intermediate focusing lens)
Surface Curvature Standards: Fabricated to <0.25% radius tolerance.
60/40 scratch and dig
Anti-Reflection Coating – Contrast Maximization – Stray Reflection Minimization:
AR Coating: Proprietary multi-coating designed specifically for wide gamut projector lamps (UHP, Xenon and LED) on all glass-air surfaces.
Optical Cement: Cement chosen to complement specific index of refraction differences between doublet elements to ensure best AR performance from internal (glass-glass) surfaces.
Internal mechanical surfaces: Super-matt anodized with micro-ridged inner barrel.
Lens Rims: All glass edges matte blackened
Optical Calibration standards: Calibrated to <0.02O of rotation (cumulative).
Maximum cumulative lateral displacement <0.1mm.
Astigmatism Performance (focus clarity across screen):
1. All measurements assume orthogonal projector alignment.
2. Subtract 2% from X-axis measurements for curved screen.
X-Axis (Horizontal) at corners of screen:
Worst Case: >75% of total enclosed energy within <0.25 pixel @ TR<1.5
Medium Case: >85% of total enclosed energy within <0.25 pixel @ 1.5<TR<2.0
Best Case: >90% of total enclosed energy within <0.25 pixel @ TR>2.0
X-Axis (Horizontal) excluding corners:
Worst Case: >90% of total enclosed energy within <0.25 pixel @ TR<1.5
All Cases: >99% of total enclosed energy within <0.25 pixel @ TR = [any value]
Color Aberration Performance: Registration of R, G and B accurate to <0.18 pixel width anywhere on screen, any TR.
Constant Height Performance: Negligible change between lens-in to lens-out.
Height reduction: <0.5% @ TR=1.6 (0.3% @ TR=2), when lens installed.
Note: This equates to a maximum of 5mm per metre of screen height (0.06” per foot of screen height).
Pincushion: Nominally identical to other 1.33x anamorphic lenses.
<2.0% at TR=1.6
<1.0% at TR=2.0
<0.5% at TR=2.5
Flat screen: @TR=1.5: Typically <5.15% at edges of screen
@TR=2.0: Typically <2.9% at edges of screen
Pincushion and geometric distortion both corrected to within <0.5% with appropriate cylindrically curved
screen (curve should be calculated based on throw ratio), independent of TR.
Weight: 3.2 kilos (~7 pounds) without stand.
Included Accessories & Extras:
Fully adjustable stand (compatible with Cineslide industry standard mount).
